Jan 17

Prescott Opry

Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Elks Opera House - 117 E. Gurley St., Prescott

January 17th is the beginning of a brand new and exciting season for the Prescott Opry, presented for your enjoyment at the beautifully restored Elks Opera House. Located in downtown Prescott, this historic entertainment center is the home of Prescott and the Quad-cities own opportunity to enjoy family friendly entertainment in the style of Nashville's Grand Old Opry.

Ed Gary, Prescott Opry's General Manager, emcee and national recording artist, eagerly looks forward to presenting the following performers for your enjoyment:

The featured artist for this performance is music industry newcomer Andy Gallegos, whose Latino stylized renditions of George Strait and Randy Travis classics will transport you to a gentler time in Country music...back when the words of a song touched your soul. In years to come, you'll be telling family and friends you saw Andy at the Prescott Opry...back when he was just getting started!

We are especially pleased to welcome to the stage Don Hesson, a well respected C&W performer from Anchorage, Alaska. His rendition of Tom T. Hall and Hank Williams Sr's country classics will have your toes tappin' and you "chair dancing" in your seat.

We are equally proud to present local secular and gospel artist, songwriter, and Elks Theater docent Robbie Heintzman, whose vocal gifts to our audience will bring a smile to your heart.

Comedian Nancy Drake will remind you of Country legend Minnie Pearl as she tickles your funny bone with her old-fashioned family friendly humor.

Featured youth artist and local recording phenom Nolan Sturdevant brings his amazing talent to the Elks stage this month. His vocalizations of well-known modern Country musical numbers will remind you of a young Alan Jackson.

And, no performance of the Prescott Opry would be complete without the Gospel Bluegrass instrumentals and inspirational blended vocal harmony of Brush Arbor Revival. The talents of John & Peggy Craig, Larry Evearitt, and Anita Wells are a true blessing that Prescott and the Quad-Cities can call their own.

Feeling financially challenged after the recent holidays? The budget-friendly ticket prices allow even the most cash strapped individual to enjoy a break from the chilly winter weather. Special discounts are available for seniors, students and groups of 10 or more.

We encourage you to make attendance at our January performance a true "night out." Consider having an early dinner at El Gato Azul, take a stroll through the shops around Courthouse Square...perhaps stopping by PK BootMaker or The Rancher's Wife (home of Kelly Beef) before arriving at the Theater for the 7:00 pm performance.

We look forward to warmly welcoming you and your friends in, out of the chilly winter evening! For more information and tickets, visit the Elks website.
