Alan Weisman: Countdown

Alan Weisman joins us on the tour of his new book "Countdown: Our last, best hope for a future of Earth?" at the Prescott College Crossroads Center, October 11 at 6pm. Weisman's reading will be followed by a audience Q&A and book signing.

Weisman is an environmental journalist and author of the bestselling book, "The World Without Us." He is a former Prescott College faculty member, and until recently, Laureate Professor in Journalism and Latin American Studies at the University of Arizona.

On Oct. 12, at noon, at the Peregrine Book Company, 129A N. Cortez, Prescott, a companion event, the panel discussion, “How to Write and Teach About the Environment Without Succumbing to Despair,” will be held. Weisman will be joined by Prescott College professor, Tom Fleischner, and Ecosa Institute founder and director, Tony Brown.
