"The Gentleman Doc Holliday" Museum Fundraiser
Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 7:00 PM
Sharlot Hall Museum - 415 W. Gurley St., Prescott
Sharlot Hall Museum invites you to join us on Saturday, February 2 at 7:00 pm for a very special fundraiser to help us with our next project, which will be named the SHARLOT HALL DEPOT.
The Museum wishes to construct a new entry/admission facility, which would include a suitable home for our 1887 Porter steam locomotive--a piece of technological and industrial history that was so important in terms of our region's resources.
This new facility will recall a small frontier train station. It will protect the Porter engine from the elements, and give it a venue where it can be interpreted with state of the art exhibits. Functionally, the Sharlot Hall Depot will provide proper orientation and ticket sales while also serving as a place to tell more about the adjacent Rose Garden that celebrates many of the women who made Arizona great.
Your generous contribution of $50 per person or $85 per couple will help the Museum achieve its goal of making the Sharlot Hall Depot a reality. To make the evening a memorable experience and to say thank you, we will be providing fine appetizers from the kitchens of El Gato Azul, along with wine, beer and soft drinks. The evening will be capped off by a performance by Wyatt Earp in the Sharlot Hall Theater, where he will be performing his one-act play "The Gentleman Doc Holliday". If you have not seen Wyatt before, this will be a great opportunity to be transported back to the days of Arizona territory.
Please call now to RSVP at 928-445-3122 and help maintain this community's most comprehensive touchstone to its territorial past--the Sharlot Hall Museum.
