Tourism Group Tweets for AZ Restaurant Week

PRESCOTT, AZ (September 17, 2009) - All that Twitters may not be gold, but for Prescott diners, a "tweet" will be worth a 10% discount at participating local eateries, said Margo Christensen, Prescott Area Tourism spokesperson.
"In celebration of Arizona Restaurant Week, eight popular Prescott restaurants are participating in a promotion from September 19 until the end of the month,� added Christensen. "It's the perfect way to discover or rediscover local dining establishments, support local business, and have a great time while saving money."
For example, HotRodz Bar and Grill is hosting "Tequila Tuesday" featuring Azul shots, Corona and Pacifica Beer, and hot dogs for $2 each.
To participate, customers are encouraged to join the Prescott Area Tourism Twitter group (www.twitter.com/prescotttourism) as a follower. According to Christensen, a tweet will go out each day of AZ Restaurant Week directing members and their friends to a participating restaurant where they'll enjoy an unbeatable special and/or receive a 10% discount off their total bill.
Celebrating restaurants include: Larry and Hy's Bare Bone BBQ, The Palace Restaurant and Saloon, 129 ½ An American Jazz Grille, HotRodz Bar and Grill, and Murphy's Restaurant.
