PRESCOTT, AZ — "With the City of Prescott's willingness to open up the downtown common area, we've created a win-win-win for all parties involved," said President of Epic Rides, Todd Sadow of his annual Whisky Off-Road Endurance mountain bike event. "The event drives tourism and commerce into the Prescott economy during a crucial time and raises an enormous amount of canned goods for the Yavapai Food Bank and those in need."

According to Sadow, the event will draw a full field of riders as it kicks off on April 24th. "We'll have an entire day of live music on the Courthouse Plaza. Nothing beats the opportunity to spend a day in the saddle and an evening on the courthouse lawn with great live music!"

The Whiskey route navigates through the 1.25-million-acre Prescott National Forest with its seemingly endless system of well-maintained trails, thanks to the Prescott National Forest Service staff and local trail advocacy groups, including the Prescott Mountain Bike Alliance.

The community concert, running from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and headlined by Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, is open to the public. "All who attend are requested to bring two canned food items for donation to the Yavapai County Food Bank," added Sadow. "Our goal is to raise a literal ton of canned goods between the mountain bike event and community concert. With so many people having a great time enjoying the outdoors it's only appropriate we leverage our critical mass to benefit others less fortunate."

Festivities begin Friday, April 23, when participants arrive for packet pickup and a mandatory pre-event riders meeting on Goodwin St. in the center of downtown Prescott. The riding will begin at 7:30 am Saturday morning on Goodwin St at Whiskey Row. Awards will be handed out Saturday evening at 4:30 pm before headliners Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers take the stage.
