White Spar Campground Reopens

PRESCOTT, AZ (May 14, 2010) White Spar Campground south of Prescott is now open after being closed for reconstruction. Improvements at 32 sites include tent pads, new picnic tables and fire rings. Some spurs were widened, leveled and paved. Most campsites are now accessible for people with disabilities. Three campsites are for small groups and have extra parking, 2 picnic tables and can accommodate up to 10 people. These improvements were funded with Recreation Fees collected on the Prescott National Forest. All campgrounds on the Prescott NF are now open for the season.
