Public Library News: Elisabeth Ruffner presents Yavapai: Mother of Counties, Cradle of Statehood

Elisabeth Ruffner will present a photographic tour of Arizona's battle for statehood in Yavapai: Mother of Counties, Cradle of Statehood on Sunday, June 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the Founders Suite of Prescott Public Library.
The importance of Yavapai County in creating the State of Arizona cannot be underestimated. Elisabeth Ruffner has spent countless hours researching the subject and initiated both the Prescott and Yavapai county Arizona Centennial Committees. She will lead the audience through the importance of this community in the history of the Territory and the struggle that followed.
Prescott Public Library serves over a half-million residents and visitors every year. Open seven days a week, the Downtown Library is located at 215 E Goodwin, one block southeast of the Courthouse Plaza. The Prescott Gateway Branch Library is open 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at Prescott Gateway Mall near Sears. All programs are free and open to the public.
