Paving continues on SR 69 through Thursday

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

The Arizona Department of Transportation is paving State Route 69 this week between Prescott and Prescott Valley as part of the low-profile median barrier project. The project features a low-profile median concrete barrier between Sundog Ranch Road and Sunrise Boulevard and is scheduled for completion by mid-September.

The speed limit through the project area has been reduced to 25 mph during work hours to ensure safety of the traveling public and construction personnel. Work hours are 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday night through Friday morning.

Law enforcement officers are strictly enforcing the speed limit. Drivers are advised to slow down, proceed through the work zone with caution, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT advises motorists to expect delays of up to 20 minutes and to allow additional time to reach their destinations.
