Got Stress? Hug a Horse

Taking the Reins workshop May 17 offers coping skills for women in transition in their lives
Like many folks who are passionate about their work, Dr. Sharon Grady starts her workday early, often as early as 6 a.m. But youre not likely to find her hunched over a computer or in her office at that hour. Shes more likely to be slinging hay, pouring grain into buckets, and talking to her co-workers, the horses that help her teach healthy coping skills to her human clients.
Sharon, clinical coordinator with Prescott Collegeâ??s Centaur Leadership Services, and veteran horse professional Bonnie Ebsen Jackson of T.H.E. Ranch (Teaching Humans with Equine) will lead women facing change at transitional times in a workshop at T.H.E. Ranch in Skull Valley May 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The program is $175 and includes work with the Ranch horses, lunch, and a workshop notebook.
